"Stefanie has created such a positive impact in my life allowing me to develop a much healthier relationship with food. ive dieted my entire life always being known as the "bigger one" and being hyperfocused on losing weight. This is the first time in my life where i truly have not been restricting the foods i eat and ive never felt healthier!! im able to look forward to meals and eat foods that make me feel good rather than focusing on the idea that everything i ingest must be low carb. "When I came to Stefanie, I was in the process of recovery from a back injury and needed to work with someone who not only knew how to coach me in my technique, but also had experience performing those very same lifts. Stefanie checked both boxes and more as I found that she was also knowledgeable in physical therapy and offered modifications to assist me in my recovery. With Stefanie, I was able to gain my strength back and set a new PR. As luck would have it, I had another injury and with the help of Stefanie I was able to make yet another recovery and set a higher PR. She is not only very knowledgeable, but she also loves all things lifting and brings that enthusiasm to each session. This made it easy for me to stay motivated and keep up with her programming. Stefanie also taught me how to set my own programs and what things I should be focusing on when looking to improve my technique. This really stood out to me as it meant that she wasn’t just there for my money and rather than make me dependent on her coaching, focused on setting me up to be able to properly lift on my own. My year long journey with Stefanie as a personal trainer was truly one of the most positively impactful experiences in my adult life. The years before COVID I had faced and tried to address mental health and body image issues with varying levels of success. Coming out of COVID my mental health was in the gutter, I gained over 50 pounds, and was desperate to change something.
During my first couple sessions with Stefanie, I could tell that this experience is different compared to other trainers I’ve had in the past. There was a genuine care, empathy, and connection in a way I could only attribute to someone who has dealt and/or is continuously battling many of the issues I was expressing.
The months following was a learning experience, not just in the gym, but in my mentality to approach many problems in life. Approaches to fitness, life, and work were all connected by the same underlying philosophies and these were topics I would discuss with Stefanie regularly. Some examples for me personally were:
Understanding triggers that start negative thought cycles (e.g. Sleep and managing energy levels on weekends).
Acceptance in failure. Failure is a part of life and things are more productive when viewed in trends / trajectories.
There is no “fix” to your feelings and emotions. Life has ups and downs and its about understanding techniques that help you acknowledge your current state and how to stabilize.
Loving yourself for who you are and for things you do to put you in the right direction.
Food was another focus for Stefanie and I. There was much learned in listening to my hunger levels, and acknowledging/accepting the moments where you intentionally don’t listen to those hunger levels. The focus was not strict, rather it helped create a sustainable foundation for eating while being flexible enough to handle social environments and personal cravings.
Finally when it came to the gym, it felt amazing having Stefanie by my side pushing me through my power lifting journey. Stefanie taught me to listen to my body and be flexible in workout composition while acknowledging that results take time and are most reliably achieved with consistency. It was a pleasure setting PR after PR with Stefanie and getting to the strongest state that I’ve ever been.
During my time with Stefanie and after finishing with training, I’ll be the first to admit that not all things were positive. There are ups and downs in life that pull you along for the ride. However, where I found the true value of my experience with Stefanie was how I handled these life events. Being able to acknowledge when life is rough, stabilize the situation, and get yourself back in a productive state are all things that I learned and refined during my journey with Stefanie.
I would highly recommend Stefanie as a trainer for anyone who is looking to make real long term change in the way they approach life and are willing to break out of their comfort zone to do so.

Working with stef from a trainer's perspective was invaluable. I have known Stef for about five years, as I too was a trainer when I first started at goodlife. Stef was a good role model while I was a trainer. I wanted to work with Stef to see how she works with her clients; so I could improve how I work with my clients as well as to see how she programs her own strength training.
I gained a lot of training and trainer wisdom working with Stef.
one aspect that has nothing to do with strength training that I admire is her ability for empathy compassion and her ability to help you on relationships that you might have with food exercise sleep to help bring more self-awareness to what you're doing. I'm a trainer and I don't think there are many good trainers out there let alone great trainers, Stef would be one of the trainers most people would get a lot of value out of in more than one way then just exercise.
